What are the system requirements for Farmington Bank Online?

Before you begin, your browser must meet certain requirements:
  • You must have128-bit encryption. 128-bit Encryption is the scrambling of information
     transmitted over the Internet, ensuring privacy and confidentiality. This is to ensure the security      of your personal financial data. Click here to perform a browser security check. If your current      browser does not support 128-bit encryption, visit the following browser areas and download      the appropriate browser.

  • To get the most out of the online banking experience, the minimum requirements are     Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5, service pack 2 (Windows), or Internet Explorer 5.5 (Macintosh),     or Netscape Navigator 6.2 or higher.

  • Your screen resolution should be set to 800 x 600 resolution for the best viewing
    of Farmington Bank Online.

How do I enroll for Farmington Bank Online?
To sign up for Farmington Bank Online simply log on to www.farmingtonbankct.com and click on the First Time User logo. Read through the Farmington Bank Online Banking agreement and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Disclosure, and click "I Accept". Fill out the information on the screen completely. All fields marked with an * are required. You need only use one of your account numbers to register. If you wish to enroll for our Farmington Bank Bill Pay feature simply indicate this with a "Yes" at the bottom of the screen. Approximately 3 days after completing our online enrollment you will receive a welcome letter with your Access ID. Within a few days of the original letter we will send you your Password. This is done to ensure your security and privacy when using Farmington Bank Online.

When can I start using Farmington Bank Online?

Farmington Bank Online is available for you to enroll today. After you enroll and receive your Access ID and Password you may begin using Farmington Bank Online. Simply click on the Log On button on www.farmingtonbankct.com and enter your Access ID and Password exactly as we sent them to you. You will be asked to change both your Access ID and Password the first time you log on to Farmington Bank Online for additional security.

When will I receive my Access ID and Password?
After you complete the online enrollment please allow at least 3 business days for receipt of your Access ID and an additional 2 business days for receipt of your Password. This is done to ensure your security and privacy when using Farmington Bank Online.

*Special rules apply for Money Market and Savings Account withdrawals. You can make no more than 6 preauthorized transfers, telephone transfers, or Internet banking transfers from the account per month. You can make as many over-the-counter withdrawals as you wish. We will monitor compliance with these limitations based on the date on which the transfer was made. Pre-authorized transfers made to pay loans you have with us are not counted as part of the six transfers we permit you to make.

When is the money I transfer credited to my account and available to me?
When you make a transfer using Farmington Bank Online that transfer is credited to your account and available to you immediately. You can verify all transfers made under the Current Business Day Activity. NOTE: Balances reflected on the ATM network are delayed by one business day.

Can I set up recurring transfers?
Yes. Recurring transfers, those that are made on a regular basis such as weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, are set up by selecting the account you will be transferring out of from the List of Accounts. Select New Scheduled Transfer from the Transfer Menu. Complete all necessary information on the screen including the date of the transfer, frequency of the transfer, the amount, and the number of times you would like this transfer to be made. Additional information can be found in our online help screens.

What happens when there are insufficient funds to make a scheduled transfer?

If there are not sufficient funds in your account to make a transfer on the scheduled date, we will continue to try to make the transfer daily until funds become available unless you notify us to discontinue. To discontinue, you must delete the transfer by 6:00 p.m. on any business day.

How do I download my information?

To export transactions into a personal finance application, complete the Transaction Search options on the Transaction Menu screen. From the Select Export Format drop-down list box, select the appropriate file type from the following list.
  • Comma Separated File (.csv)
  • Quicken Interchange Format (.qif) - Intuit Quicken™
  • Open Financial Exchange (.ofx) - Microsoft Money™
  • Intuit's Interchange Format (.iff) - Intuits QuickBooks™
Then click the "Export" button to complete the process.

What security measures is Farmington Bank using to insure the privacy and security of my information?
Farmington Bank uses a technology called Secure Socket Layers (SSL) to scramble the information that you send us. This technology protects the information you submit or receive through Farmington Bank Online.

Farmington Bank also uses firewalls to limit entry by anyone without proper authorization. A firewall is a security device that regulates the information transferred in and out of a network. The firewall is designed to make sure that communications only occur between approved individuals.
