How We Protect You

Farmington Bank is committed to ensuring that your online activities are secure by using industry best practices. To fulfill this commitment, we use the following controls specific to online banking:

Secure Login

Farmington Bank requires multifactor authentication for all online access. This includes the use of a username and password, an authentication image and phrase chosen by the customer, and a flash object that registers a customer’s computer to perform online banking. Commercial customers that perform sensitive transactions (e.g. ACH transactions) require a key fob in addition to the above controls for online access. The purpose is to authenticate customers and ensure that they are logging in from authorized computers.

Flash Content

    Encryption

Farmington Bank requires the encryption of all online activity. Customers need to have a web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) that supports at a minimum 128-bit SSL encryption.

      Session Timeout

After a 15-minute period of inactivity, your online account session will be terminated. The purpose is to end online access to idle sessions.

        Secure Email

Farmington Bank requires the encryption of all email containing confidential customer information. Customers should encrypt all emails before sending them to Farmington Bank, as Internet-based email is insecure. If you need assistance using this technology, contact Farmington Bank’s Customer Support Center at 860-676-4600 or toll-free at 877-376-2265.
