Community Spotlight Working to help make our community stronger. Together, the Farmington Bank Community Foundation and Farmington Bank proudly give more than one million dollars back to the community each year. In the Spotlight About the Featured Organization Malta House of Care provides free primary health care to uninsured adults. Its Mobile Medical Clinic van visits four neighborhoods each week. A completely independent nonprofit, Malta provides comprehensive physicals, vaccines, blood tests, x-rays, medication, health coaching, and more. Malta’s compassionate care is provided by 55 medical volunteers and a small paid staff. Since its founding in 2006, Malta has provided 44,792 free patient visits to neighbors in need of health care. Our Support The Farmington Bank Community Foundation provided an $8,000 grant in 2017 to support the Malta House of Care Mobile Medical Clinic. How You Can Help Volunteer On-site medical volunteers (doctors, nurses, APRNs, Physician Assistants, and diabetes educators) are needed to provide primary care on its van. To learn more, visit maltahouseofcare.org. Offsite specialist physicians are also needed to provide exams, testing, and/or readings in their own offices, free of charge to Malta patients.
